The Sparrow's Warm Home

How The Sparrow's Warm Home begins

Drip, drop, plink! Rain fell outside your child's window. Your child, a curious boy, pressed his nose against the cool, misty glass. He smelled the fresh, clean scent of the wet earth outside. Then, your child saw something small and brown hopping near a big, pink flowerpot. It was a little sparrow! Its feathers were soaking wet and it looked very, very cold. Your child heard a tiny, sad chirp.

Names shown above are placeholders. In your copy every "your child" becomes your child's real name, and Mum and a brother and a sister take their places in the story.
